In the first quarter of 2021, dog-themed gaming apps have had an interesting performance on the unified platform in the United Kingdom. Sensor Tower provided the data which gives us insight into how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Tamadog - Puppy Pet Dog Games by Akita Limited Liability Company experienced a peak in downloads reaching 17K in mid-February, followed by a decline to 3K by the end of March. Revenue showed a general upward trend from around $4K in the last week of December to over $6K in late February, with a slight drop to around $5.5K by the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored the download trend with a peak of over 17K in mid-February and a decrease to under 6K by the end of March.

My Talking Hank from Outfit7 Limited, despite having a modest revenue performance with figures mostly hovering below $200, saw consistent download numbers that ranged between 5.5K and 8K. The weekly active users for the app showed an overall increase from 24K at the end of December to nearly 28K at the end of March.

King's Pet Rescue Saga, a UK-based publisher, showed strong revenue figures starting at $51K and peaking at $69K in late February. However, downloads saw a decline from 13K in mid-January to under 1.5K by the end of March. Weekly active users peaked at 58K in mid-January before leveling out to around 41K by the end of March.

Puppy Town - Merge & Win by Smillage, despite generating no revenue, had a notable number of downloads starting at 6K and reaching a peak of over 12K in mid-January, before falling to around 3K by the end of March. The weekly active users for Puppy Town reflected a similar trend, with a peak of over 24K in mid-January before decreasing to around 7K by the end of March.

Finally, the newcomer Hamster Maze from ZPLAY (HK) TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED, released in early March 2021, showed promising growth. In just a few weeks, downloads skyrocketed from 2.8K to over 43K. Revenue started at $20 in the first recorded week and more than quadrupled by the end of March. Weekly active users followed an explosive growth from 1.8K to nearly 60K in the same period.
